Elon Musk has announced that Twitter will allow users to turn off the view count. Yes! Recently, Twitter started rolling out a new view count feature for its customers.
However, a few days after this roll out, Elon Musk confirmed that Twitter would make some changes to the view count feature.
He also announced that Twitter would allow users to turn off the view count if they want to. The chief tweet revealed this while replying to a Twitter user on the platform’s new design.
He replied that Twitter would tidy up the aesthetics and add a setting to turn it off, but he thinks that almost everyone will grow to like it.
Users who don’t know about the new view count feature started appearing to users a couple of days back. The quality started appearing to users the view count for all the tweets, similar to how we see views on YouTube videos.
This feature was previously available only for the account owners for their tweets and via the tweet analytics tool.
Method of checking views on tweet
If you are looking to check the number of views on the tweets you have posted, there is a way. To do this, tap on the tweet, and you will see a little graph with ‘view tweet activity’ written alongside it.
Moreover, you can check the total number of impressions, which indicates the number of times some other users have viewed that tweet.
Besides that, you can also see other details like profile visits that show the number of times people viewed your Twitter profile from this tweet.
It also has details like new followers that indicate the number of new followers you have received via this tweet.
And last but not least, you can also check engagement details that signify the number of times a user has interacted with the tweet.
